Your personal crisis communication plan

Screenshot 2015-10-01 17.25.59We wake up with thoughts of Umpqua Community College today. For the students and employees, for the community, for those who lost loved ones. Yesterday’s news hits us all hard. With sons on three different college campuses, it terrifies me. Everyone should have a personal crisis communication plan because you just never know. Know phone numbers, have a contact plan, take advantage of apps. I found this a few weeks ago and had been holding on to it for you – check out the Companion app that offers some comfort for a student, or really anyone, who has to walk alone anywhere. The app lets you reach out to family, friends, or your public safety department to have them keep an eye on you as you travel late at night.

To Son 2.0, you want to know why I want to be able to see you on Find My Friends? This is why. I love you.
