I finally got around to watching the Finn Tribute episode of Glee – the tribute to recently deceased actor Cory Monteith. In the final scene, as his best buddy Puckerman and the football coach finish planting a tree in Finn’s honor and placing a memorial plaque, Puckerman says the one thing he is bothered by on the plaque is the “line” – as in the line between 1994 – 2013. He says what a shame that the line actually represents an entire life. As Puckerman walks off, Coach says: Have a nice line.
Work on your line today, make it the best you can,
As I deal with Mom and her stroke this week (we are making slow progress), mortality is much more on my mind than usual.
