06 Dec Daddy’s little girl is not happy
I have thought long and hard about whether or not to write this tip. Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of my father’s death. I’m not an anniversary kind of person – I forget my own wedding anniversary – but a neighbor reminded me and I woke up yesterday morning and thought, “I love you Dad but I’m mad as hell at you for the mess you left.” Daddy was a smoker; starting having strokes in 2005 and was the walking dead by 2009. He was in no condition to let any of us know Mom was starting to act strangely. She hid her Alzheimer’s extremely well for a very long time. Then there were the finances. He never saved a penny, spending it all on his next big business deal. An earlier bankrupt company was never shut down properly and the summons come to me now on a regular basis. And, this award-winning insurance salesman in an earlier life never invested in long-term care insurance and died without life insurance. Yes, fortunately Wonder Husband and I can take care of it all but I’m still mad. Very mad.
Don’t make your family mad. Take care of all of this. Starting today.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to our first advertiser. eSigns.com was the first to believe in YDST and came to us asking to be a sponsor. Over the last few months, eSigns.com has not only been the first to subsidize this tip habit, but the company has also done quality work for our followers. Need signage of any sort?
